Google and Your Patrons
The myths and realities of Google are explored, along with its unique features and its impact on libraries. This teleconference explores the library worker’s role in connecting users to high quality information in the age of “Googleization.”
Speaker: Steven Bell
Steven is Director of the Paul J. Gutman Library at Philadelphia University. Prior to that, he was the Assistant Director of the Lippincott Library of the Wharton School at the University of Pennsylvania. He obtained his Doctorate in Education in 1997 from the University of Pennsylvania, and his Master of Science in Library Science from Drexel University in 1977. He writes and speaks frequently on topics such as keeping up for personal professional development, library technology, and academic librarianship.
